Welcome to our website!
This website was created as a resource for Eastern Orthodox church musicians, offering polyphonic Byzantine-style hymns with well-metered, modern American English lyrics for worship.
On our Sheet Music page, you will find a *chronological list of sheet music documents (PDF format) that you may download to your computer and print copies for your choir/church musicians and congregation. Many of these hymns were originally written by such composers as John Sakellarides, Nicholas Roubanis and Christos Vrionides--some of the earliest individuals to bring harmonized Byzantine music to Orthodox churches in the United States. (*based on the Eastern Orthodox ecclesiastical calendar year)
These hymns may be sung with or without accompaniment (a cappella). For those parishes that do use an organ, it is suggested that the bass line of any given piece be pedalled for a greater musical effect.
